Hotel Shri Annapoorneshwari Pure Veg

Accidentally stumbled upon this gem in Murudeshwar. It was raining while going to temple so I took shelter across the road, that's when I saw it. The owner was genuinely friendly and helpful (unlike the fake smile for business). While waiting for rain to stop, i tried their idli and tea. It was really good and since he cares more for hospitality and atithi devobhav, he even gave excessive discount which I obviously refused and paid him as published in the menu. The rates as such are dirt cheap, anything less and I wondered what will he earn. Anyways the rain didn't stop, I left shoes at his shop, wrapped my harem pants and walked bare foot to the temple under umbrella. In the evening I returned and had chapati with bhaji which was the first time in 7 days of my trip that I ate wheat chapati (unlike the maida chapati prevalent on west coast ). He'll keep an eye on you throughout and offer more bhaji or chutney or pickle on his own. That's the long lost hospitality we've only heard about. Anyways, words can't express enough. You must visit him whenever around.

I highly recommend Hotel Annnapoorneshwari for anyone who enjoys authentic vegetarian South Indian cuisine. The food is fresh and flavorful, the service is prompt, and the prices are reasonable. Their dosas, soft idlis, and meals & coffee are must-tries.

Visited this veg South Indian hotel yesterday. The dosa ,idli & palav were good and the sambar had the right balance of spice and tang. Highly recommend tourist once to visit this hotel in murdeshwar.
