We were charged around ₹1500 for a boating round that lasted approximately 1 hour. During this time, you can enjoy the serene river views, take photos and videos, and soak in the natural beauty of the area. The ride is great for groups, especially because splitting the cost among friends makes it much more affordable. The boating experience takes you through calm waters surrounded by greenery, and there are lots of spots to pause for pictures or simply enjoy the stillness of nature. Along the riverbank and nearby areas, you’ll also find shops selling coconut water, light snacks, and refreshments, which is convenient if you want something while waiting or after the ride. My personal experience was very enjoyable—we had a great time enjoying the scenic views, taking lots of photos and videos, and just relaxing on the water. It’s an activity I would strongly recommend, especially if you’re travelling with friends or family. If you go in a larger group, the cost per person becomes even more reasonable. Overall, boating in Honnavar is a peaceful, scenic, and memorable experience that adds a beautiful element to any trip in coastal Karnataka.

The Honnavar Backwater Boating was very good and the scenery was very good if you’re someone who enjoys nature. The boat ride takes you through beautiful mangrove forests, and the surroundings feel calm .but they charge Rs 400 per each person that was very high we will be traveling around 12km up and down. While travelling we will see very good scenery with many trees.

An absolutely soul-soothing experience! The Sharavati backwaters are incredibly serene, especially during the early morning ride (highly recommend the 6:30 AM slot). The mangrove tunnels are magical, and the 'Mini Kerala' vibes are real. It’s a birdwatcher's paradise—we spotted kingfishers and egrets everywhere. A must-visit if you want to escape the crowd and just hear the water and birds."

We contacted the real Booking number from the map itself... The person was quite helpful. He provided all of the details, including the location. They charged Rs. 1000 for the 1.5-hour boat cruise. It would be ideal if you went in groups. It was an excellent experience. Few shops are there nearby for having some juices and all. Best time to go morning before 11am or after 3pm.

Good experience of boating. Beautiful scenery especially coconut trees background. It looks like Kerala. Boating charges are also reasonable. Best for school and family picnic.
