Netrani Scuba Adventures

Nethrani scuba adventures did a good job and created a lifetime memory. They executed our scuba dive meticulously and it was fun and comfortable.

Divers praise Netrani for very clear water with visibility typically in the 15–30 m range, which is far better than most popular Indian coastal spots and great for photography. Many reviews describe it as “Maldives‑like” on a budget, with several saying it was their best or most memorable first scuba experience. Marine life and conditions The island is a coral reef with healthy hard and soft corals, and you can commonly see schools of barracuda, jacks, groupers, snappers, triggerfish, angelfish and moray eels, plus occasional turtles and rare whale shark or manta sightings. Dive sites range from roughly 6–30 m in depth, so operators can choose easy shallow sites for beginners and deeper ones for certified divers. Safety, operators and scams Diving is generally considered safe when done with a certified centre; better operators keep small groups, provide proper briefings, and use well‑maintained gear. There are, however, complaints and YouTube reports about middlemen, overpricing, poor time in water, or operators packing too many people on boats, so booking directly with reputable dive shops (PADI/SSI centres in Murudeshwar) is strongly advised. Practical points for planning Trips usually start from Murudeshwar, with a boat ride of about 60–90 minutes each way and 20–30 minutes of actual underwater time for beginner “discover scuba” dives. Best season is roughly October–April; monsoon months can see rough seas and closures, so checking conditions and operator reviews for your exact dates is important.
