Sharavati River front honnavar:- I recently visited a backwaters mangrove bamboo cottage stay in Honnavar, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Ganesh Hegde Annaa, was absolutely amazing—a true one-man army! He cooked delicious meals, rode the boat, took us on a jungle walk, guided us to a private waterfall, and showed us the highest sunset point in Honnavar. He even clicked some great pictures of me and my family.
Since Kannada is my mother tongue, the communication and bond we shared made the experience even more special.
And if you ask me about the price, its too afforadable.
The stay is spread over 15–20 acres with cozy bamboo cottages and access to a 30-acre area along the Sharavathi River. Some highlights include:
A private waterfall
Kayaking
Jungle walks
Sunset Hill Point with a 360° view of Honnavar
Campfire evenings
Serene green walkways
And so much more! The route to the stay itself was adventurous and exciting.
To sum up the entire experience—the stay, the maintenance, the warm hospitality, and the delicious local traditional food (especially a dish called Tambuli)—everything was just perfect.
These were truly cherished moments for our whole family. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this beautiful place. It’s a solid 100/10 from me!
